Our Training

Silas Care Services provides a comprehensive range of Health and Social Care and Management face-to-face and online training to Local Authorities and Private Sector organisations. We provide professional and responsive services to our potential customers. We have been providing various health and social care training including Core Skills Framework Training. Our training centre is based in Luton. Our trainers are experienced professionals with Higher Educational Academy Fellowship. We are a CQC-regulated Domiciliary care provider with a GOOD rating. Vast experience in the field of Health and Social Care Management enables our team to provide training programmes abiding with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. Our training programmes are designed to improve or develop trainees’ functional skills. Using Manikin, Electric Hospital Bed, Hoist and slings, CPR devices, etc as part of practical sessions and intensive workshops facilitate trainees to improve their employability skills and gain confidence to work in a practical setting.

3.  Effective supervision.

4. Leading and managing the process of change.

5. Leading and managing the inspection process.

Nurse with Patient

The programme is delivered through one interactive module covering the objectives below:

1. Awareness of the impact of your own beliefs and values

2. Understanding self-management, self-awareness and confidence

3. Understanding integrity and how actions & words influence others

4. Awareness of cultures that foster resilience

5. Understanding emotional intelligence

6. How to deal with pressure and stress using well-being strategies including delegation

7. Awareness of time management, techniques and tools.

Healthcare Workers

The programme is delivered through one interactive module covering the objectives below:

1. Understanding the performance management cycle including processes for managing different types of performance

2. Understanding of disciplinary and grievance, causes of poor performance and how to minimise them

3. Awareness of strategies to improve performance

4. Awareness of managing and retaining high performing staff

5.Understand how to give feedback and manage difficult conversations

6. Awareness of cultures that encourage confidence, responsibility and accountability

7. Understanding effective role modelling, coaching and mentoring.

3. Understanding approaches for assessing culture and steering action

4. Understanding simple rules for turning values into action

5. Understanding nudge as applied to head, heart and environment

6. Awareness of a range of nudge activities for developing culture

The programme is delivered through four interactive modules covering the objectives below:

1. Develop a clear understanding of what well-led looks like in a care setting

2. Develop a clear understanding of how leadership strategies and techniques can be used to transform services and improve the quality of care

3. Develop the confidence and skills necessary to lead services in an increasingly complex and challenging context

4. Develop clear goals and commitment to improve your personal leadership effectiveness

5. Learn from the experience of others by working with them in a range of collaborative learning activities and networking opportunities.
