Download Arma 3 Mods: Explore New Maps, Weapons, Vehicles, and More
Whenever I download an Arma 3 workshop mod, it doesn't install. It will download just fine, but the launcher just refuses to say a new mod as been loaded. It will eventually find the mod, but it can sometimes take up to a WEEK for the mod to load. This issue started a few months ago. There are some random occurrences where the mods will load within only an hour or so of finishing the download, but that is very rare. In addition, the launcher will start to crash whenever a new mod is finally recognized by the launcher. When the launcher finds a new mod (usually downloaded a week prior), the mod will show up in green highlight on the bottom of the launcher before promptly crashing. When it crashes, I get several "Arma 3 Launcher.Exe has stopped working" prompts at once. Not just one, but usually four or five. I have tried everything I can think of to fix this issue.

Whenever I try to download an Arma 3 mod on the workshop, it will (usually) download right away and download the whole mod at once (again, usually). After a around a week or so, the mod will show up in the launcher. The launcher will then either crash repeatedly until I restart my computer, or the mod will load without issue. These steps haven't really changed much, but things do sometimes change. For example, when I first noticed this problem, some mods would be recognized by the launcher within only a few hours. That sounds like a long time, but compared to the week that I have to wait now, it is minor.
This is usually caused by large number of subscribed items on Steam Workshop. When a large list of mods is being processes, there is a momentary spike in memory usage while the list of mods is transferred from Steam to Launcher and if the OS can't allocated necessary amount of memory fast enough, it will cause the crash.
So, I followed your instructions, and none of the mods that I subscribed to showed up. However, Around two thirds of all of my mods (I have a bunch of them) all said they were updated. Anyway, here are the logs: Arma 3 logs.rar332 KBDownload

Just a quick update. I started my launcher just now (8:36 PM EST) to see if any mods that I subbed to earlier today actually showed in the launcher. To my surprise, a mod actually showed up! I only downloaded one mod today, and it didn't crash the launcher since I unsubscribed from a bunch of mods I didn't use.
In addition, I was messing around with some mods and I got them to show up as soon as I subscribed to them. I had been trying to get the new RHS mods to show up on the launcher for the past week, but I finally got it to sort of work. I managed to find the RHS mods (that were downloaded from the workshop) deep in my steam folder, and I deleted all of them manually. Afterwards, I resubscribed to the mods, and they showed up immediately in the launcher. However, they didn't actually download and are all marked as corrupted. From there, I deleted them and resubscribed to them. This time, it is actually downloading some of the mod (Only 2.9 GB instead of the 9.1 GB it should be downloading, the 4 RHS mods are 9.1 GB combined). I will update again once the downloads finish.
Good news! The RHS mods downloaded without issue and showed up on the launcher right away! In addition, I downloaded several other mods, and they all got to the launcher without issue. Can you mark this issue as solved? Thanks so much for the help!
Been running into a bit of a frustrating situation. Just got a new gaming laptop to supplement my main gaming desktop. This thing has a 128GB SSD... not big enough for Arma 3 and my 60+GB worth of mods. Every single time I turn on the computer, steam starts automatically downloading the mods and filling up my SSD. Whenever I delete them, they just come back.
I just want the mods to stop automatically downloading on my laptop, I only want to choose about 8 mods to download for this one server I mainly play on. But I also don't want the ability for my desktop to update mods to be affected.
Mods tagged with both "Mod" and "Server" on the workshop are server mods and should be uploaded to the /servermods/ folder, while those tagged only as "Mod" are normal mods and should be uploaded to the /mods/ folder.
The idea is it will improve server performance as it offloads mission download. Simply run the exe with the server's game port and the path to the mission.pbo. The exe opens a small HTTP server on the port "gameport + 7" and will only allow clients to download the pbo defined in the start up params.
Dependencies: ALiVE Requires CBA_A3 As with any other mod, extract @ALiVE into Steamapps/Common/ArmA 3 or My Documents/ArmA3. Then either add @ALiVE to your shortcut -mod line, or enable it using the in game Expansions menu or use a launcher like Play with Six or ArmA3Sync. Further instructions for installing mods are in this handy guide on Armaholic
Please note that support will be strictly limited to issues and bugs directly relating to our official ALIVE modules only. We cannot provide support for queries and issues arising from general mission editing, the Arma 3 game, other mods or addons unrelated to ALiVE.
I'm running a server on google cloud headless Debian 11 (Bullseye). I've got a debian-bullseye:slim container running steamcmd. I've got the ArmA 3 dedicated server (233780) going. Normally to download a mod all I had to do was give it the line
I tried downloading the ArmA 3 client for S&G, and it worked until the HDD ran out of space. I also tried downloading the mod in question (Antistasi The Mod) on a VM on my personal machine and it worked fine.

This is how I managed to transfer my Steam (all games) + Arma 3 installation + all mods and DLC without need to download anything on the new machine. We going to kind of "mirroring" our Steam installation with all installed games and workshop content. It maybe looks complicated but it isn't...
Instructions:1- Save the file: Arma3-Mods-Update.bat in SteamCMD folder.2- FInd :: MODS IDS and place there all your mods, just like as the example on file.3- Note that double " :: " is comment, so the script will ignore those lines. I uses it to help me knew the Mods Names and to note somethings important.4- Choose between 2 options: 1) Ask for steam username and steam pass all time that you run the file or 2) Set them one time and save it on the .BAT. Comment all lines that you don't want.5- Run the Arma3-Mods-Update.bat (just open it) and wait. The program will close after finishing download all mods.6- The mods will be saved in the folder: SteamCMD\steamapps\workshop\content\107410
In only a few short years the Zero Chip had completely re-designed itself and needed constant hardware upgrades to increase its memory and speed, only a few human scientists could even understand what the system was doing most of the time, the code was indecipherable by its human creators, with the corporation spending millions on upgrades and teams of genius's to study its inner workings. The chip solved many of humanities oldest problems - hunger, war, were quickly becoming things of the past. It created implants to treat all manner of human diseases, nano devices that allowed for physical augmentation of all basic human systems, sight, hearing, touch. Soon even Death was a thing of the past as the machine had created new augmented human bodies and cloning systems you could even upload your personality file to the cloud and download it into a new body in case of accidental death (if you could afford it of course). the poor left to die in squalor.
The 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment uses a tailored modpack for operations and training on our ARMA3 servers. It is colloquially known as the "CavPack". The CavPack is a cultivated package of Arma 3 mods that have been chosen to be used in all official 7th Cavalry operations and training environments. Currently, there is both a "Public" and a "Private" modpack maintained for use on the 7th Cavalry's public ARMA3 server and our private training servers.
Our public server will require the below mods, there are 34. It is highly recommended to use the pre-configured presets provided further above on the page. This list is merely provided for utility purposes.
Our private training servers will require the below mods, there are 51. It is highly recommended to use the pre-configured presets provided further above on the page. This list is merely provided for utility purposes.
In Advanced mode you will find the field Mods (automatic installation via Steam Workshop)under the item Commandline. The mods are to be entered here with the same rules as in the Basic mode.
Modder mbrdmn has created a system called Dynamic Recon Ops, which builds randomized recon missions to spec. These can be simple, involving a single objective, or surprisingly complex. You can specify parameters like time of day, weather conditions, and factions involved, or you can let the mod decide for you. The one-objective ops make for great bite-sized portions of Arma action, and you can download the mod for countless maps, both official and user-created.
